Job summary

Heritage Valley Health System in Sewickley, PA is seeking an Anesthesia Technician/OR Tech to support the Operating Room.

Under the direction of surgical services leadership, you will perform cleaning, stocking, and preparation of OR areas, and assist with case turnover. High school diploma and knowledge of sterile technique and medical terminology are required; hospital experience and computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic sterile technique.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and stocking in all areas where anesthesia is administered and the OR.
• Assist with room turnover between cases.
• Coordinate activities under the Director Surgical Services, OR Nurse Manager, Lead Anesthesia/OR Technician, Chief CRNA and MDAs.

Description

Department: Operating Room

Work Hours: Monday - Friday varying daylight hours

The Anesthesia Technician/OR Tech will coordinate their activities under the direction of the Director Surgical Services, OR Nurse Manager, Lead Anesthesia/OR Technician, Chief CRNA and MDAs. They will work in collaboration with all CRNAs and Operating Room, OB, GI Lab, and Cardiology Nursing Leadership. Their role is to perform the daily cleaning and stocking of all areas of the hospital where anesthesia is administered as well as the Operating Room. In addition they will assist with room turnover between cases.

Requirements

Preferred

Computer knowledge, hospital experience.
