UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time Anesthesia Associate to support our anesthesia providers and deliver exceptional care during critical moments.

Responsibilities

• Work varied shifts — weekday and weekend evenings and nights — supporting patient care 24/7.
• Assist in Trauma and Transplant procedures, including rapid blood infusion, difficult airway assistance, and cell salvage.
• Provide support across OR, MRI, GI Lab, Cath Lab, EP Lab, and IR suites.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for anesthesia procedures to ensure smooth and safe patient flow.
• Troubleshoot critical equipment such as anesthesia gas machines and patient monitoring systems.
• Maintain stock levels and organize surgical suites for quick turnaround between cases.
• Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies.

What You’ll Do:

• Work varied shifts — weekday and weekend evenings and nights — supporting patient care 24/7.
• Assist in Trauma and Transplant procedures, including:
  • Rapid blood infusion
  • Difficult airway assistance
  • Cell salvage and jet ventilation
  • Swan Ganz catheter and liver transplant bypass cannula assistance
  • Support anesthesia providers across all procedure areas: OR, MRI, GI Lab, Cath Lab, EP Lab, and IR suites.
  • Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for anesthesia procedures to ensure smooth and safe patient flow.
  • Troubleshoot critical equipment such as Anesthesia gas machines, GE B850 patient monitoring, Edwards CCO monitoring, and TEE/Ultrasound systems.
  • Maintain stock levels and organize surgical suites for quick turnaround between cases.
  • Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies.
