Job summary

PatientPoint, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to develop and maintain automated tests for our Android products using Java and Appium. You will work across the product lifecycle with developers, product owners, and QA to ensure quality and robust automation.

You will create and maintain a comprehensive test suite, integrate testing into CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and contribute to a shift-left testing culture in a fast-paced, hybrid Cincinnati office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of total professional experience.
• 3+ years in software testing and test automation for mobile and/or API-based solutions.
• 3+ years on Agile teams.
• Hands-on Android test automation with Appium and Java.
• Experience with Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
• Experience with RESTful API testing.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and test management tools (QMetry, Zephyr or similar).
• Experience with SQL in one or more database platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL).
• Experience with version control systems and Git flow.
• Experience in requirements gathering, designing test plans, defect management and reporting.
• Experience integrating testing controls into CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate QA activities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile team to define acceptance criteria for features and maintenance development.
• Analyze requirements and review specifications to design testing for Android mobile apps.
• Follow best practices for Page Object Model and Hybrid Testing Frameworks to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Design, construct, and maintain automated test reporting infrastructure for visibility into quality.
• Contribute to performance and regression test creation and integration into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Work in a SAFe/Agile environment and participate in continuous improvement and shift-left testing.
