Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; or 3+ years with a Master's; or a PhD; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• 5+ years of related security experience.
• Experience in computer security demonstrated by publications, CVEs, or security tooling.
• Deep understanding of Android software stack, framework security, access controls, and internals.
• Knowledge of latest threats to smartphones: malware, ransomware, spyware.
• Knowledge of cryptography, secure coding practices, and exploit mitigations.
• Experience applying AI to security workflows and research.

Responsibilities

• Propose novel security features and vulnerability analysis tooling for Samsung smartphones.
• Collaborate with product management to refine proposals.
• Design and architect security features for mobile devices.
• Communicate feature motivations and designs clearly to stakeholders.
• Provide expert security guidance to global development teams and ensure security requirements are met.
• Perform security review of code and promote secure coding practices.
• Stay updated with mobile security trends from various sources.
• Research and innovate security through patents and publications.
