Job summary

Cintas Corporation seeks a Software Engineer – Level 2 for the Mobility IT team. You will design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise Android applications using Kotlin/Java across mobile and backend integrations.

The role requires collaboration with customers and analysts to translate requirements into scalable solutions, adherence to coding standards, and ownership of end-to-end quality. This is a full-time position in Mason, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Object-Oriented Programming using Java, Kotlin, etc.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Android application development.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with IDEs like Android Studio, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Version Control tools like Git, GitLab or Other.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and estimation activities with Business Analysts and cross-functional team members.
• Translate business requirements into well-designed Android technical solutions aligned with enterprise IT strategy.
• Analyze existing Android/mobile applications to identify performance, scalability, maintainability, or usability gaps.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Android enterprise applications or modules.
• Follow approved development processes, coding standards, and documentation practices.
• Produce application specifications and clearly document technical system requirements.
• Work across multiple technical environments (mobile, APIs, backend integrations) with increasing independence.
• Take ownership of application quality end-to-end.
• Conduct unit testing to validate functionality against specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues with minimal supervision.
