Robinhood in New York, NY is seeking an Android Engineer for the Government Products team to build scalable mobile experiences for a historic national initiative. You will help deliver an intuitive, secure app leveraging latest Android technologies.

You’ll collaborate with product designers, managers, and backend data teams, ship features from concept to launch, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. In-person presence 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer Android apps at scale.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.

The Government Products team focuses on building and scaling systems that support long-term investing and account management for millions of customers. This team works closely with product, data, and infrastructure partners to deliver reliable, secure, and intuitive experiences. You will help shape systems that enable customers to plan for their financial future with confidence!

As an Android Engineer on the Government Products team, you’ll help build mobile experiences for a historic initiative designed to expand market access for the next generation of Americans. You’ll ship intuitive, secure, and scalable features that make long-term investing and account management feel simple and accessible, while partnering with a high-performing team tackling some of the biggest challenges in financial access.

This role is based in our New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you\'ll do

What you bring

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer Android applications at scale, preferably in Kotlin and Compose
• Attention to detail, passion for writing clean, readable and maintainable code
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, and Jetpack
• Desire to improve Robinhood\'s app and codebase to ensure outstanding quality for our all users
• Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with Product Managers and Designers
• Excellent communication skills and passion for solving technical challenges
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; equivalent training or work experience also acceptable

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

Base Pay Range:

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC)

$166,000 — $195,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$147,000 — $172,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)

$130,000 — $152,000 USD
