Job summary

BigBear.ai is seeking an Android Developer to join a mission-focused cyber team supporting critical national security objectives. You will build and sustain custom Android capabilities used by operational teams in fast-moving environments, collaborating with end users to translate needs into robust tools.

This hands-on role covers end-to-end ownership from design through testing, debugging, and documentation, with emphasis on speed, quality, and mission impact.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with Full Scope Polygraph or ability to obtain one.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in Python and C.
• Experience building UNIX applications with makefiles on mission platforms.
• Experience developing CNO tools and techniques.
• Strong socket programming and IP/TCP knowledge.
• Proficient with debuggers such as WinDbg, gdb, IDA Pro.
• Experience reverse engineering binaries.
• Experience developing PoC exploit software.
• Knowledge of OS internals (ELF, file systems, MAC/DAC, etc.).
• Understanding mitigations (ASLR, DEP, NX) and bypass methods.
• Experience with version control (git, GitLab).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom software tools for Android.
• Own end-to-end development: requirements, design, implementation, testing, sustainment.
• Diagnose and debug issues using tools and internal frameworks.
• Apply networking concepts to tool development.
• Produce documentation to operate, maintain, and support software.
• Mentor junior developers to accomplish mission objectives.
• Respond to time-sensitive cyber problems.
