Job summary

Jobrapido is seeking a highly skilled Android Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications that enhance our platform's user experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kotlin and modern Android development practices, with a passion for creating efficient, scalable, and secure mobile applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Android development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and XML.
• Hands-on experience with Coroutines, Flow, RxJava, and UDF patterns.
• Solid understanding of MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture principles.
• Experience with Android Jetpack components, dependency injection, REST APIs, and Gradle.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills in a production environment.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modernizing existing Android applications.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and ownership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and XML.
• Create reusable UI components leveraging modern Android architecture and UDF patterns to promote code efficiency and maintainability.
• Integrate applications with backend services using REST APIs, Coroutines, Flow, and RxJava, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization.
• Write comprehensive unit and snapshot tests to guarantee code quality and facilitate continuous integration processes.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve crashes, performance bottlenecks, and production defects promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mobile developers, UX/UI designers, QA, product managers, business analysts, and backend developers to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Implement and follow mobile security and accessibility best practices to safeguard user data and enhance usability.
• Utilize tools such as Gradle, Git, CI/CD pipelines, crash reporting, and monitoring platforms to streamline development and deployment workflows.
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and incorporate innovative techniques into projects.
