Job summary

Covetus in Irving, TX is hiring an experienced Android developer to design and build mobile applications for our clients. You will work with Java and Kotlin, Android Studio, and modern Android SDKs to deliver high-quality apps across devices.

You will implement REST API integration, apply Jetpack components, write unit and UI tests, and collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to ship reliable software on schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Android development.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Proficient with Android Studio and Android SDK.
• Experience with Android Jetpack components.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling data transfer securely.

• 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining android applications
• Proficient in developing android applications using Android Studio and Android SDK.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Solid understanding of native mobile application development life cycle.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Have an advanced understanding of consuming REST APIs in Android applications.
• Deep understanding of security around data at rest and in-transit such as cert-pinning, keychain storage and payload encryption/decryption.
