Job summary

Vera Whole Health is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our primary care team in Anchorage, Alaska. In a relationship-based, outpatient setting, you will spend time with patients to focus on prevention, wellness, and whole-person health.

You will evaluate and manage acute and chronic conditions, conduct preventive visits, and collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality care for patients across the lifespan.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited NP program.
• Current NP license (Alaska) or ability to obtain.
• National board certification (FNP/AGPCNP/AGACNP) or equivalent.
• Current DEA registration and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care across the lifespan.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct preventive care visits, annual wellness exams, and health screenings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and manage medications.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory testing.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Support quality improvement and population health initiatives.
