Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Endocrinology physician in Anchorage, AK. The assignment is a 52-week engagement with shifts from 08:00 to 17:00, five days a week, with on-call coverage.

The position requires board-certified endocrinology with MD/DO, Alaska license, and the ability to evaluate and manage diabetes, thyroid and metabolic disorders, while coordinating with hospital staff. Pay range is $230–$270 hourly.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• ACGME or AOA internal medicine residency.
• Endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism fellowship.
• Board certification in endocrinology (ABIM/AOA).
• Active, unrestricted Alaska medical license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and treat hormonal imbalance and endocrine disorders.
• Develop and manage individualized patient treatment plans.
• Order and interpret lab tests and imaging studies.
• Advise on lifestyle changes, medication management and self-monitoring.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
