KETV in Omaha, NE part of Hearst Television, is seeking an Anchor/Reporter who brings energy to live reporting and newsroom storytelling. You will enterprise exclusives, report in the field, write and edit scripts, and mentor reporters and producers.

You will work with the News Director and contribute across platforms. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of anchoring or reporting experience, a strong reel, and the ability to work under deadlines, including overnights and weekends.

Qualifications

2 years of reporting/anchoring experience required.
Demo reel demonstrates everyday work.
Anchor connects with viewers and reports.
Operate mobile transmission devices and latest technology.
Able to work in all weather conditions, varied shifts including overnights and weekends, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Have a valid driver''s license and a clear driving record.
Uphold unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards.
Military experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Deliver scripted and ad-lib material with professionalism, personality, and purpose.
Work with and guide reporters and producers in newscast production.
Plan, gather and assemble stories on day-of news or special project assignments.
Coordinate with news managers and producers to develop stories that go beyond surface details with exclusive content.
Develop a network of sources for tips and early access to information to break stories.
Appear on behalf of the station at public events.
Contribute pictures, video and text updates to mobile platforms throughout the day.
Work on different stories and projects at once and meet all deadlines.
Summarize information into easy-to-understand components.

KETV, the ABC affiliate in Omaha, NE is looking for an Anchor/Reporter. The Anchor/Reporter is someone who can bring the energy of live reporting to our anchor desk. In addition to credibility, poise, and personality; you are an anchor who isn't afraid to head out into the field and break the big stories. You will enterprise exclusives, tell compelling stories, and complete live shots. You are someone who isn't afraid to ask the tough questions, will hold those in power accountable and help mentor producers and reporters. You will write and edit scripts with viewer interaction in mind. You are versatile, enterprising, can work fast and efficiently, work well under tight deadlines, can develop sources, and have excellent live reporting skills. You will report to the News Director.

Requirements

2 years of reporting and/or anchoring experience required

Anchor that connects with viewers, in addition to reporting skills
