Job summary

The College of St. Scholastica is seeking a part-time Anatomy & Physiology Lab TA to support BIO 2510 and BIO 2520 labs at CSS. You will assist instructors, prepare materials, and help students develop lab skills.

Responsibilities include communicating concepts, grading assignments, maintaining lab spaces, and ensuring donor body materials are handled properly. Flexibility with scheduling and independent work are valued.

• Communicate effectively with students to address questions on anatomy and physiology concepts.
• Promote active learning strategies and support student understanding.
• Ability to work independently and manage lab-related tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist anatomy & physiology lab instructors with teaching labs to BIO 2510 & BIO 2520 students.
• Teach small groups when needed without direct instructor presence.
• Grade and alphabetize anatomy/physiology assignments and exams.
• Clean and organize lab and classroom spaces.
• Maintain donor bodies in anatomy lab when applicable.

Job Duties

• Grade & alphabetize anatomy and/or physiology assignments and exams.
• Cleaning and organizing lab and classroom spaces.
• Maintaining donor bodies in anatomy lab (if TAing for review hours or anatomy labs).

Required Qualifications

• Completed BIO 2510 & BIO 2520 at CSS
• Ability to work independently
• Being flexible with scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to lift over 50 pounds (when moving donor bodies)
• Federal Work Study Qualified preferred
