Qualifications

• Master's degree in the field required.
• Experience in post-secondary education preferred.
• At least 2 years teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classes professionally and create an effective learning environment.
• Know the policies in the Student and Faculty Handbooks.
• Be prepared with all material before class begins.
• Know departmental policies for reporting/maintaining equipment.
• Ensure student evaluations are submitted to the Registrar.
• Assist the Financial Aid office when asked.
• Keep accurate attendance, tests, and work submissions records.
• Record attendance on official rosters and submit after class.
• Contact absentee students after each class.
• Submit Daily Absence sheets to the Registrar.
• Record grades and grade breakdowns on official reports.
• Maintain classroom order at end of class/day.
• Distribute the syllabus on the first meeting and follow it.
• Attend Faculty meetings and In-Service programs quarterly.
