Job summary

Drexel University’s Salus Campus—Elkins Park is seeking an Anatomy Lab Assistant to guide year 1 PA students in the cadaver lab under the supervision of the PA Program Anatomist. This per diem, non-exempt role supports the Gross Anatomy course and instructional activities.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in medical/health science/anatomy and prior completion of human gross anatomy dissection; a master’s degree and teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical, health science or anatomy.
• Prior completion of human gross anatomy dissection is required.
• Preferred: Master's degree in a related field and teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide student guidance and instruction in the cadaver laboratory under the PA Program Anatomist.
• Support the Gross Anatomy course and assist with demonstrations as directed.

Job Summary

The Anatomy Lab Assistant will provide guidance and instruction in the cadaver laboratory to year 1 PA students under the direct supervision of the PA Program Anatomist, who directs the Gross Anatomy course.

This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.

Essential Functions

• Provide student guidance and instruction in the cadaver laboratory, as instructed by the course director (PA Program Anatomist)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Medical, Health Science, Anatomy
• Prior completion of human gross anatomy dissection is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in relevant are of instruction (e.g., physician assistant studies, physical therapy, pathology, etc.)
• Prior teaching experience
• Dissection skills

Physical Demands

• Typically sitting at a desk/table
• Typically standing, walking
• Lifting demands ≤ 25lbs

This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt.The offered pay is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, departmentbudget, and an internal equity review.
