Acupath Laboratories, Inc. in Plainview, NY seeks an Anatomic / Surgical Pathologist for a part-time role (20 hours per week).

The candidate will sign out surgical pathology cases across GI, GU, breast, biopsy, excision and resection, and review non-gyn cytopathology as needed. Qualified candidates hold an MD with AP/CP board eligibility, NYS license, and fellowship in Surgical Pathology; 3–5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Surgical pathology case sign-out (general surgical pathology, GI, GU, breast, biopsy, excision, and resection cases).
• Review may include screening and sign out cytopathology cases (non-GYN).
• Participate in internal and external QA and performance improvement activities, departmental meetings, and facility-wide training as needed.
• Work with the Medical Director and lab management to ensure turnaround time targets are met.
• Direct collaboration with referring physicians.

Anatomic / Surgical Pathologist – Part Time / Acupath Laboratories, Inc. – Plainview, NY

Position Overview

• Surgical pathology case sign-out (General surgical pathology, GI, GU, breast, biopsy, excision, and resection cases)
• Review may include screening and sign out cytopathology cases(non-gyn)
• Participate in internal and external quality assurance and performance improvement activities, departmental meetings, and facility-wide training as needed
• Work closely with the Medical Director and laboratory management team to ensure completion of cases within the required turnaround time (TAT)
• Direct collaboration with referring physicians

Qualifications

• MD with Board Certification / Eligibility (AP/CP)
• NYS Medical License
• Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology required
• 3-5 years of experience preferred

Compensation

• Up to $170,000 (commensurate with experience & subspecialty) – Based on 20 hours / week
