Job summary

Qualifications

• High School/GED is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• 1 year full time laboratory experience or equivalent to Laboratory Assistant duties (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Handle Anatomic Pathology specimen processing and handling.
• Perform accessioning and patient demographic entry into the Laboratory Information System.
• Label specimens accurately and assess quantity/quality of pre-analytic specimens.
• Coordinate internal specimen logistics and prepare specimens for referrals as needed.
