Job Details

The Department of Pathology and Genomic Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a physician with experience and training in Neuropathology, Diagnostic Molecular Pathology, and Autopsy Pathology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, tenure eligible, in the Clinical Scholar track or Clinical Educator track. Rank will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic record.

Responsibilities

Primary clinical service responsibilities include sign‑out duties in Neuropathology with secondary responsibilities in Autopsy Pathology. Clinical responsibilities will support Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and its affiliates. Faculty are expected to take an active role in the training and teaching of Pathology residents, participate in inter‑ and intra‑departmental conferences, train Pathology Fellows, and instruction medical students at Sidney Kimmel Medical College. Sufficient time will be allocated to pursue academic interests and translational research.

Qualifications

• Medical degree MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent.
• Unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Board certified or board‑eligible in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology through the American Board of Pathology.
• Experience in Neuropathology, Diagnostic Molecular Pathology and Autopsy Pathology.
