Qualifications

Job description

Job Purpose

The Analyzer Technician maintains online analytical instrumentation through preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring equipment functionality and reliability. The role involves routine checks, maintenance, record keeping, troubleshooting, and collaboration with Operations, IEA Specialist, and Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• SHE: Support safety principles, adhere to policies, maintain safe operation, investigate deviations, complete trainings.
• Manufacturing Excellence: Ensure reliable equipment availability, support production targets, lead turnaround scope, troubleshoot with teams, support upset conditions, on‑call schedule.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; Level 2 Instrumentation Degree or certificate preferred.
• 5+ years of plant maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, communication skills, safety role model, problem‑solving with data analysis.

Technical Skills

• MS Office and SAP PM.
• Gas Chromatographs, CEMS analyzers, TOC analyzers, HACH analyzers.
• Root cause failure analysis, basic PSM knowledge.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Outside: Light work, exposure to outdoor conditions, temperature extremes, noise, hazards, fumes, oils, respirator, gas mask.

Inside: Sedentary work, protection from weather, visual and auditory clearance. Must be able to see documents and adjust focus, hear normal speaking level sounds.

Performance Indicators

• Achieve SHE metric targets for safety and environmental incidents.
• Meet or exceed plant production goals and production reliability.
• Compliance with AsCare, 20P, MOC/PSM.
• Improve MTTR and MTBF.
• Completion of assigned action items.
