Job summary

Shell is seeking an Analyzer Maintenance Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of the Geismar Chemical Production Units by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing various process analyzers and related systems.

You will execute preventive maintenance, perform reactive repairs, and coordinate with Operations to align analyzer needs with maintenance plans. The role requires a minimum of 3 years in analyzer maintenance, TWIC, and the ability to work on-site in Louisiana.

Qualifications

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for any employer other than their current employer
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in process analyzer maintenance within similar or related industries
  • Knowledge of and experience with at least some of the following analyzer and monitoring equipment: Gas Chromatograph, Paramagnetic O₂, CEMS, TOC, BTU Analyzers, Infrared Photometer, Zirconium Oxide O₂ Analyzers, TDL, pH Analyzers, Conductivity Analyzers, Dissolved Oxygen Analyzers, Aluminum Oxide Moisture Analyzers
  • Must currently hold a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Willingness to comply with Shell's drug-free and harassment-free work environment, safety policies, and procedures
  • Willing to climb ladders, navigate stairs, and work at heights, with or without accommodation
  • Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills related to analyzer equipment and systems
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with limited supervision or technical oversight
  • Required to work a 9/80 schedule and be available to work overtime as needed, including holdovers, callouts, and plant outages.

Job Description

As an Analyzer Maintenance Technician, you will support the safe and reliable operation of the Geismar Chemical Production Units by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing process and safety critical analyzers, sample systems, and associated components.

What we offer

The rate for this position is $46.11-$51.56. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, and internal equity.

For regular full-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 10 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.

Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives.

For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 10 paid holidays.
