Responsibilities

• Own the Manufacturing & Supply Chain analytics footprint end-to-end for production planning, purchasing, inventory, capacity, quality, and supplier management.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and analytical systems ingesting data from ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, inventory, and quality systems.
• Develop dashboards and analytics to inform production decisions and track build status, PO health, inventory, supplier performance, yield, and capacity.
• Own the full product lifecycle of analytics tools—from requirements to UX to implementation and iteration.
• Bridge technical and operational needs by collaborating with planning, engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Perform quantitative analyses to identify bottlenecks and unlock throughput (inventory reconciliation, variance, trend, root-cause, demand/supply gap).
• Enable smarter planning with data-driven safety stock, lead time, purchasing, and capacity models.
• Iterate based on stakeholder feedback and evolving requirements.
• Document data definitions, logic, and methodologies to promote data literacy and self-service.

ABOUT THE JOB

As an Analytics Engineer on Sentry Analytics, you will own the data and analytics footprint for our Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions: the two domains that determine whether we can build Sentry at the rate the mission demands. You will be embedded with the Head of Production for Sentry and their leaders across production planning, purchasing, inventory, quality, and supplier management, translating their hardest operational questions into durable data products.

This is a hands-on, builder-operator role for a highly technical and strategic individual who thrives on untangling complex, ambiguous problems in a physical, fast-moving production environment. You will design, implement, and maintain the data systems that give Manufacturing and Supply Chain leaders real-time visibility into what we are building, what we need, and where we are constrained. This role requires a strong data engineering foundation, an analytical mindset, and the ability to sit next to operators on the floor and in planning meetings to figure out what actually needs to be built.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own the Manufacturing & Supply Chain analytics footprint end-to-end. Serve as the technical lead for data products supporting production planning, purchasing, inventory, capacity, quality, and supplier management. Partner directly with the Head of Production for Sentry to shape the analytics roadmap for these functions.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and analytical systems. Design data workflows that ingest, transform, and model data from ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, inventory, and quality systems, ensuring data quality, freshness, and accessibility for the teams that depend on them.
• Develop dashboards and analytics that shape production decisions. Create data products ranging from ad hoc analyses for rapid iteration to scalable dashboards and trackers that give leaders visibility into build status, PO health, inventory position, supplier performance, yield, and capacity utilization.
• Own the full product lifecycle. Act as an architect, designer, and builder for your analytics tools, defining requirements, designing user experiences, building technical solutions, and iterating based on user feedback from planners, buyers, engineers, and floor operators.
• Bridge technical and operational needs. Partner closely with Demand & Supply Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Engineering, and Supply Chain to understand their data challenges and translate them into effective solutions inside our operational systems.
• Drive operational efficiency through data analysis. Perform quantitative analyses (inventory reconciliation, variance investigation, trend analysis, root-cause analysis, and demand/supply gap analysis) to identify bottlenecks and unlock throughput.
• Enable smarter supply and production planning. Use data to sharpen safety stock, lead time, purchasing, and capacity models, and to give leadership a defensible view of what Sentry production can commit to.
• Iterate based on feedback and evolving requirements. Continuously improve data products by incorporating stakeholder feedback and adapting to changing operational needs as Sentry manufacturing scales.
• Document and champion data quality. Ensure data definitions, business logic, and methodologies are well-documented and understood across Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams, promoting data literacy and self-service.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related technical field
• 2+ years of experience in analytics, operations engineering, data engineering, or software engineering roles
• Experience building business-facing dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Palantir Foundry, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Streamlit, or similar
• Proficient in at least one additional programming language such as Python, SQL, R, TypeScript or similar, for analysis, data visualization, and automation
• You thrive on untangling complex, messy problems and are energized by creating order from chaos in a rapidly evolving operational environment
• Track record of partnering directly with senior operational leaders and cross-functional teams (planners, buyers, engineers, quality, floor operators), translating business problems into technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• You can build full-stack solutions, including frontend development with React or similar frameworks when needed
• Familiarity with data pipeline concepts, ETL processes, or data engineering principles
• Direct experience working within ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, or inventory management systems, or building analytics on top of them
• Background in supply chain or manufacturing operations (production planning, purchasing, inventory, quality) with familiarity in concepts like MRP logic, safety stock modeling, lead time analysis, or supplier performance
• Background in hardware product lifecycle operations, manufacturing environments, or complex hardware/software systemsBackground working in fast-paced environments without a playbook, particularly in hyper-growth or startup settings
• Experience in defense, aerospace, robotics, autonomy, or mission-critical technology environments
