Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Analytics Engineer II to join our Integrated Product Analytics team. You will leverage data and engineering expertise to develop end-to-end digital thread across Collins Aerospace products.

The role focuses on transforming siloed data into actionable insights, influencing product performance, service optimization, and enterprise BI strategies. You will bridge engineering knowledge with analytics in a remote, U.S.-based environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree (required).
  • U.S. citizenship required for access to program/contract.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and model development.
  • Background in Data Science, Statistics, or an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience with cloud and distributed tech (AWS/Azure/Spark).
  • Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
  • Knowledge of Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer II to join our Integrated Product Analytics team. In this role you will leverage your data and engineering expertise, and strong statistical foundation to help develop and mature an end-to-end digital thread across a portfolio of Collins Aerospace products.

As a member of the team, you will play a critical role in integrating data across historically siloed business units, transforming complex engineering and operational data into actionable insights. Your work will directly influence product performance, service optimization, and enterprise business intelligence strategies.

This position requires a strategic thinker who can bridge engineering knowledge with advanced analytics, drive cross-functional collaboration, and lead initiatives that elevate data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct data analysis with Python to drive informed business decisions

  • Deploy machine learning algorithms on both numerical and categorical data sets
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Python Experience for data analysis and model development
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Background in Data Science, Statistics, or an Engineering discipline
  • Experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry or Information Systems environments
  • Familiarity with graph databases, semantic layers, and data ontology frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with cloud and distributed technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Apache Spark
  • Knowledge of Git or similar version control systems, following software development best practices
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from concept through deployment
  • Experience using Agile collaboration and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence

Remote

Employees who are working in Remote roles* will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

  • Position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
