Job summary

A leading technology firm is hiring an Analytics Engineer to join their team in Columbia, MO, with a focus on developing data pipelines and managing data solutions. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of SQL experience and 2 years of Python and data modeling experience. We’re hiring an Analytics Engineer to support our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. This position is fully remote.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and manage data pipelines using SQL and Python that extract data from various sources and transform it according to business rules
• Create/update data models in dbt to ensure scalable, robust data solutions
• Convert business needs into technical specifications and establish a timetable for job completion
• Create, test, and deploy changes
• Continuously monitor, improve, and proactively identify potential issues to improve the data pipelines and ETLs

Minimum qualifications

• At least 5 years of SQL experience, creating complex SQL solutions to business problems
• At least 2 years of Python experience, creating scalable processes to solve business problems
• At least 2 years of experience data modeling
• Experience modeling using dbtSupport day‑to‑day reporting and analytics, reducing complexity in accessing and querying cross‑functional data.
• Experience working with git

Preferred qualifications

• Experience using Looker Business Intelligence Tool

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Education or Experience required

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
