Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Analytics & Data Engineer to own the end-to-end data lifecycle from ingestion to insights. You will be responsible for architecting and maintaining robust data pipelines that move data from Zoho through Snowflake, with final delivery to Microsoft Fabric. Your goal is to build and maintain a high-performance OLAP environment that powers critical business intelligence in Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Orchestration: Design and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to extract data from Zoho APIs and load it into Snowflake.

Snowflake Modeling: Architect scalable data structures in Snowflake using Star Schema or Data Vault methodologies to ensure data is optimized for high-speed querying.

Fabric Integration: Seamlessly integrate Snowflake with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake) to create a unified data layer for downstream analytics.

OLAP Development: Build and maintain semantic models within Fabric/Power BI, ensuring sub-second report performance and data accuracy.

Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize Snowflake compute usage and Power BI DAX queries to minimize latency and costs.

Data Governance: Implement security protocols, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS), across the entire stack.

Sandbox Strategy: Ensure lower-environment strategy supports change management of data-related needs.

Required Technical Skills

Data Warehousing: Advanced proficiency in Snowflake (SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Tasks).

BI Ecosystem: Expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI (Direct Lake mode, DAX, Power Query).

Programming: Strong SQL and Python skills for complex data transformations.

API Integration: Experience working with REST APIs, specifically for SaaS platforms like Zoho.

Modern Data Stack: Familiarity with transformation tools like dbt and orchestration tools like Airflow or Fabric Data Factory.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or SnowPro Core Certification.

Experience implementing MedallionArchitecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) in a cloud environment.
