Job summary

Motion Recruitment is hiring an Analytics Engineer for a hybrid role in Scottsdale, AZ. The 1-year W2 contract requires 3 days onsite weekly and includes benefits.

You will own the semantic layer and data mart strategy, modeling data from SAP into Snowflake, and building dbt models that serve BI dashboards and LLM-queryable semantic models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI Engineering role.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake.
• SQL and Python proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the staging and intermediate dbt model layers for financial, operational, and asset-management data replicated from SAP into Snowflake
• Build and maintain Snowflake semantic models (definitions that allow LLMs and BI tools to query business metrics without ad-hoc SQL)
• Create documentation, data dictionaries, and training materials that enable analysts to use data marts and Hex workbooks independently

Our client, a clean energy developer and operator across the US, is actively hiring an Analytics Engineer to join their team in Scottsdale, AZ! This will be a hybrid role and will require 3 days a week onsite.

*This is a 1 year W2 contract with benefits offered!*

In this role, you will be responsible for building and owning the semantic layer and data mart strategy that connects the raw operational and financial data to the business teams who depend on it. A significant portion of your work will focus on modeling data replicated from SAP, our financial and other operational platforms, into Snowflake, building clean, tested, and well-documented dbt models that serve Hex dashboards and Snowflake semantic models queryable by LLMs.
