Job summary

Vaxcyte is seeking an Associate Scientist I, Research to support development of bacterial polysaccharide conjugate vaccines. The role focuses on analytical characterization of in-process intermediates and drug substances, including proteins and polysaccharides, using SDS-PAGE, ELISA, HPLC, and SEC-MALS.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to execute assays, prepare samples, analyze data, and support routine laboratory operations, with an emphasis on accurate records and cross-functional

Qualifications

  • BS or MS with 0–2 years (MS with 1+ year) in relevant field.
  • Hands-on bioanalytical techniques (SDS-PAGE, ELISA, colorimetric assays).
  • Experience with HPLC instrumentation and data analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine in-house analytical assays to characterize intermediates and drug substances.
  • Prepare buffers, reagents, and samples following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records and report data promptly.
  • Support method development, qualification, and troubleshooting with guidance from senior scientists.
