Job summary

Innophos is seeking a Lab Technician “A” to perform analytical testing and support disposition of finished products at Chicago Heights or Waterway plants. You will calibrate instruments, maintain records in LIMS, and participate in CoA generation.

Role requires a BS in chemistry or related field and 1–3 years in QC lab, with strong data analysis, SOP adherence and equipment handling. Benefits include health, 401(k) with match and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or another scientific discipline.
• 1–3 years of quality control lab experience.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry principles, laboratory techniques and GLP/GMP.
• Ability to read and accurately perform test methods, SOPs and work instructions.
• Proficient with math and analytical calculations; strong computer skills in Office, LIMS and statistics.
• Ability to operate, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain lab instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of in-process and finished samples.
• Develop proficiency with laboratory equipment and maintenance.
• Calibrate, reference-check, and record data; maintain lab records in logbooks and LIMS.
• Create, print and distribute CoAs for bulk shipments.
• Assist production, keep area clean, and train other employees as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.
