Analytical Development Senior Research Associate
- Perform laboratory experiments to support analytical method development for gene & cell therapy products and other biologics programs.
- Conduct sample testing and data analysis using established procedures with minimal supervision and strong turnaround time.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and compliant documentation of experiments, studies, and results.
- Author and review standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols, and reports.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and trend assay performance in collaboration with the manager and team.
- Present data and provide updates on project progress at internal team meetings.
- Support routine laboratory operations and service functions to help ensure efficient laboratory performance.
- Work safely and effectively in a GMP-like laboratory environment.
- Manage multiple priorities while contributing to team goals and project timelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
Required:BS or MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology or related discipline. Relevant industry experience, MS: 0-2 years, BS: 2-5 years
Preferred:2+ year of relevant industry experience in the cell and gene therapy space, with hands‑on experience with analytical method development, including characterization and release assays.
Knowledge and skills
Required:
- Experience with cell culture and aseptic technique.
- Experience with one or more of the following analytical techniques: Cell counting platforms (eg. NC-200/NC-203; Luna) and immunostaining‑based imaging.
- Ability to follow safety regulations and work effectively in a GMP‑like laboratory environment.
- Demonstrated ability to run experiments per study design.
- Strong independent reasoning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build open, collaborative relationships and work effectively within multidisciplinary and matrixed teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Strong time management and data management skills
Preferred:
- Background in cell therapy analytical development
- Background in pancreatic islet biology
- Experience with sample management and ELN/LIMS systems

- This is an onsite position at the Boston LC1 site.
- Able to work upright and stationary and/or stand for typical working hours.
- Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.
- Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities
Pay Range
$40-$44/HR
