Job summary

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking an Analytical Clinical Chemistry Scientist to set up, execute, and troubleshoot HPLC/UPLC instrumentation in a full-time on-site role near Rensselaer, NY. The candidate will prepare protein samples, mobile phases, and cleaning solutions, and will document data in an electronic database.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in chemistry or related field (or MS) with HPLC/GMP experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field; 2–4 years HPLC/GMP experience OR MS with 1+ years HPLC/GMP experience.
• Experience maintaining HPLCs/UPLCs and familiarity with cGMP.
• Strong technical, numerical, and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up, execution, and troubleshooting on HPLC and/or UPLC instrumentation.
• Prepare protein samples, standards, and controls; create mobile phases and cleaning solutions.
• Gather, process, and record data; maintain SOPs and compliance with quality standards.
• Interact with customers or peers; participate in training and maintain lab supplies.

Job Description

• Set up, execution, and troubleshooting on HPLC and/or UPLC instrumentation.

• Preparation of organic and salt mobile phases as well as acidic cleaning solutions.
• Handling and use of micropipettes
• Gathering, processing, and recording data in an electronic database
• Thorough and complete documentation of standard operating procedures followed and resulting test data.
• Review of test results to ensure results meet validity, suitability, and specification acceptance criteria; report any quality anomalies.
• Complies with all quality, integrity, and safety standards outlined through effective policies and procedures.
• Participates in required electronic and in-person training activities
• Maintains laboratory supplies.
• Routine calibration and/or verification of instruments and other lab equipment prior to use.
• Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.

Responsibilities include preparing protein samples, mobile phases, and cleaning solutions, handling micropipettes, and documenting procedures and test data. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with quality standards, participate in training activities, and maintain lab supplies and equipment.

• Experience with MCE and iCEIF assays
• Knowledge of cGMP
• Strong technical, computer, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

The position is full-time, Monday - Friday, with the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
