Job summary

SGS is seeking a Lab Analyst for our Clovis, CA laboratory. The role involves preparing and analyzing samples with accuracy, following SGS SOPs, and meeting daily targets.

The analyst works independently and with the team to ensure hold and turnaround times are met, applying basic analytical chemistry principles in a safe environment. The position requires a chemistry-related degree with 0–2 years’ experience or 3 years in sample prep, strong English skills, math abilities, and the physical

Qualifications

• Advanced English language skills required.
• Strong mathematical and reasoning skills required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to lift/carry/push or pull upwards of 25 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples according to SGS SOPs using department instruments.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Assist with validation and MDL studies as needed.
• Assist with investigations and responses to client inquiries and CARs.
• Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory functions.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook and adhere to internal standards and procedures.
