Job summary

Aerogen Pharma is seeking an Analytical Chemist in San Mateo, CA to develop analytical methods for lipid-peptide and lipid-protein formulations and support formulation development. You will work hands-on in the lab, maintain instrumentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and regulatory standards.

The role requires a degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field, 2–5 years of analytical development or QC experience, and strong technical writing skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field
• 2–5 years analytical development or quality control experience
• Technical writing experience required
• Experience authoring CMC dossiers is a plus
• Lipid formulations or inhalation drug delivery knowledge is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize analytical methods for lipid-peptide and lipid-protein formulations
• Support formulation development and DOE studies
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and calibration
• Coordinate sample flow, test scheduling, and inter-department communication
• Assist with training on analytical procedures
• Contribute to regulatory documentation for INDs/BLAs/NDAs
• Collaborate with formulation scientists and lab management
• Oversee method optimization, validation, and transfer to CMOs/CMOs
• Troubleshoot analytical issues during development and manufacturing
• Stay updated on analytical techniques and industry trends
