Job summary

Bell Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. in Northbrook, IL is seeking an Analytical Chemist II to join our Shared Technical Services – Analytical team. You will perform sample preparation, operate instrumentation, analyze data, and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field with 3–5 years in analytical chemistry. Experience with GC/LC instruments and QA/QC support is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, food science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of analytical chemistry experience or equivalent.
• Experience in flavor or fragrance industry preferred.
• Experience operating chromatographic instrumentation and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical research for flavor, fragrance, and QC projects across samples.
• Operate and troubleshoot GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS, and HPLC-MS instruments.
• Support method optimization and sampling techniques.
• Participate in organoleptic evaluations with project teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, QC, Sales, Evaluation).
• Maintain product folders and manage laboratory supplies and equipment.
