Parker Hannifin Corporation’s Industrial Gas Filtration and Generation Division (IGFG) seeks a hands-on Chemist II to develop and validate analytical methods for organic and inorganic compounds, operate advanced instrumentation, and ensure ISO 17025 compliance. The role includes mentoring peers and driving GLP/GDP practices across the lab.

Responsibilities cover method development with LC‑QTOF/DAD/MS and GC‑MS, ICP‑MS/OES, and equipment troubleshooting, reporting, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Polymer Science or Materials Technology; Master’s or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical methods for optimizing separation, identification and quantification of organic compounds (LC‑QTOF/DAD/MS, GC‑MS).
• Develop analytical methods for inorganic compounds (ICP‑MS/OES) and validate performance.
• Act as SME for sensing devices, filters, lab systems and single-use devices.
• Troubleshoot raw materials, customer requests, and support sales with GLP‑compliant results.
• Provide hands‑on scientific and analytical approaches to product development.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot and analyze data with GC‑MS, LC‑QTOF/DAD/MS, ICP‑MS/OES, FTIR, UV‑Vis.
• Summarize lab information in reports using GDP for customer applications and validations.
• Coordinate with vendors for calibrations, maintenance and lab supplies.
