Job summary

PDI is seeking a Laboratory Associate for 1st shift in New York to perform chemical testing on incoming raw materials according to USP, SOPs, and NPTM. You will document results, assist in sampling and release, and maintain lab records in LIMS with attention to accuracy and GMP standards.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in chemistry or related field, have 0–3 years lab experience, and are proficient in Office tools. The role requires good communication and the ability to work in a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related science required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and fluent in reading/writing English.
• 0–3 years of laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or related area.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified chemical testing per USP/SOPs/WIs/NPTM; testing may include pH, viscosity, refractive index, specific gravity.
• Conduct wet chemical titration to determine activity in solutions and raw materials.
• Determine active percentage of components using instruments (IR, UV, titrator).
• Identify chemicals or formulations per methodology and requirements.
• Calibrate, read, and record lab instruments daily.
