Eurofins Madison Food Chemistry is seeking a candidate to join our growing team as a laboratory analyst. The role supports routine analyses, documentation, and instrument use in a fast-paced food chemistry environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, is authorized to work in the United States, and is comfortable with potential allergens, PPE, and occasional overtime. The position is on-site in Madison, WI, with opportunities for training and growth.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (laboratory experience may substitute)
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• May work with potentially hazardous materials
• Exposed to potential food allergens (milk, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, etc)
• Overtime and weekend work as required
• Standing/sitting for long periods in lab hood and at bench top
• Must use PPE
• Residence commutable to Madison, WI

In 2021 we moved into a brand new ISO 17025 accredited laboratory in Madison, WI designed to conduct food chemistry testing specializing in infant formula, sole-source nutrition products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, and a variety of botanicals. Our testing portfolio includes vitamins, minerals, contaminants, pesticides and shelf-life studies.

We test of a variety of instrumentation including UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS technologies. Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Applies GMP/ GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Learns to conduct routine analyses independently and in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOP’s and regulatory agency guidelines
• Learns how to document work and maintains study documentation and laboratory records
• Learns how to use laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks
• Attends and participates in project meetings
• Learns to perform peer review of data
• Learns to plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments
• Contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains a positive attitude. Plans individual workload in coordination with team members
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (laboratory experience may be substituted for a degree)
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• May work with potentially hazardous materials
• Will be exposed to potential food allergens (ex: milk, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, etc)
• Overtime and weekend work as required
• Work requires some standing and sitting for long periods of time, including working within a laboratory hood and standing at a bench top
• Work requires use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
• Reside within a commutable distance to Madison, WI
