Education Requirements
  • Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
  • Required: Minimum 4 years of experience in statistical programming or statistical interpretation.

Technical Skills
  • Required Software: Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred Software/Tools: SAS and/or Python for statistical programming.

  • Preferred: Exposure to data visualization, dashboarding, and data modeling tools.
About The Role
  • Member of the Medicare Statistical Analysis Department, responsible for analyzing and reporting JJ/JM Part A/B and RRB claims data.
  • Perform monthly data integrity reviews, ensuring accurate and complete data warehouse table loads.
  • Run standardized and ad hoc statistical reports and deliver insights to internal stakeholders and CMS.
  • Focus on reporting and data-driven insights (not software development or IT/networking).
  • Use programming for mathematical computations, statistical modeling, and report generation.
  • Transitioning from SAS to Python by 2026, expanding capabilities in data visualization, dashboarding, and predictive modeling.

  • Strong communication skills – able to engage effectively with CMS representatives, external vendors, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain complex data concepts clearly and develop thorough documentation and reporting deliverables.
