General Purpose
The Analyst, Production Planning position has responsibility for the planning and preparation of Supply Chain operating plans, including near term production scheduling and long-range projecting. The Production Planning team will serve as the operating conduit between Supply Chain Operations and the Merchant Planning team. The Analyst will work with Merchant Planning to model inbound / outbound targets and will partner with Supply Chain Operations to balance capacity and demand. This role will monitor goal vs actual reporting and review capacity plans to support peak planning.
Essential Functions
  • Develop weekly unit targets in partnership with DC operations to ensure targets are set appropriately considering the make-up of the freight available to work.
  • Oversee daily and weekly reporting on production, volume forecasts and distribution workload.
  • Manage cross-functional communication and alignment of priority / issue resolution. Interface with cross-functional partners when plans are lagging to research and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Model and analyze peak volumes to understand potential constraints and support mitigation strategies to address distribution capacity constraints. Partner with Supply Chain operations to evaluate peak plans and gather alignment on overall operating strategy

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years relevant work experience
  • College degree in Supply Chain or Finance preferred
  • Strong analytical and conceptual ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple assignments and priorities
  • System savvy
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel / PowerPoint)
  • Retail or consumer products experience a plus
Physical Requirements/Ada
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
