We value open, constructive dialogue and believe it leads to better outcomes. Above all, we are driven to go the extra mile and support one another, fostering a collaborative environment built on accountability, integrity, and care.

About The Role

DESRI is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join its team as an asset management analyst or associate, title to be commensurate based on experience. The role also provides the opportunity to participate in the development, acquisition, and management of renewable energy assets in an inclusive and engaging work environment. As a member of the Asset Management team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the performance of your assets and the firm’s portfolio. You will work with a growing team of asset managers in a dynamic and agile organization, contributing to the success of renewable energy projects and the transition to a sustainable future. This role offers the opportunity to work in an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging working environment.

What You\'ll Do

You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of renewable energy generation assets. Responsibilities include managing financial performance, optimizing operational efficiency, monitoring contract compliance, and counterparty reporting. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices; assess the financial health of renewable energy assets; coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to identify and resolve any operational issues or equipment failures promptly; develop and implement strategies to improve asset reliability, availability, and performance; and conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. You’ll monitor revenue generation, operating costs, and budget adherence; prepare financial reports and forecasts, identifying opportunities to optimize revenue streams; and collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with financial regulations. You’ll also manage contracts and agreements related to renewable energy generation assets; monitor contract compliance, including performance guarantees, maintenance obligations, and reporting requirements; and collaborate with legal and procurement teams to negotiate and review contracts. You’ll monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct analysis, develop and implement strategies to maximize energy output, minimize equipment failures, and extend asset lifespan. Staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and leverage new opportunities will be essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Intellectually curious candidates with a passion for optimization and proven experience in asset management, operations, or project management within the renewable energy industry (PV or BESS), will thrive in this role.
  • Deep knowledge of renewable energy technologies, industry regulations, and best practices is essential. Familiarity with financial analysis, budgeting, and contract management; impressive analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; and a keen attention to detail are required.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and experience in a role involving multitasking and problem solving in a fast-paced environment is highly preferred.
  • Quarterly travel to your assigned assets, in addition to team meetings and stakeholder meetings, will be required.
  • At DESRI, we consider a wide range of factors to determine your compensation. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, location, skills, and experience. The expected annual base salary for this position is $90,000 to $130,000.
