Job summary

RTX is seeking a Material Planner / Production Control Specialist for our McKinney, Texas facility. The role ensures seamless material flow to meet production and customer needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and keep shipments on schedule.

Ideal candidates will have a university degree, up to two years of related experience, and strong MS Office 365 skills. This onsite position offers exposure to lean initiatives and a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a Material Planner / Production Control Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and components necessary to meet production and customer requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve production challenges, and ensure on-time delivery of critical materials to support manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do
  • Material Availability Analysis, Tracking, and Reporting.
  • Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide production floor support including replacement part management, shop floor material staging, Work in Progress (WIP) movement through shared resource areas, completion of units in shop floor and MRP system, delivery to next step (inventory or shipment), and meeting MRP schedule.
  • Preparing purchase requests for components based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.
  • Experience with Wave track and in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Special Program Access.
  • Experience managing a product line.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
