Job summary

Lactalis USA in Chicago, IL is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst to manage network inventory control tasks. You will audit movements, support finished goods reconciliation, and drive improvements with root-cause analyses across the supply chain.

You will work with SAP-based records, 3PL partners, and internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency, contributing to high inventory integrity and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Experience in ERP/WMS systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly; analyze information and develop solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; data integrity and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Build accurate inventory data across the supply chain network using SAP; ensure reports, losses, adjustments, reconciliations, and idoc errors are handled timely.
  • Collaborate with 3PL inventory team to reconcile physical and WMS records with SAP balances; resolve discrepancies.
  • Cultivate relationships across warehouse locations, co-manufacturers, 3PLs and supply chain teams.
  • Identify and fix inventory issues; work with the Inventory Supervisor to develop long-term solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on finished goods and pallet movements in warehouses; audit movements and guide new products or processes.

Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring an Analyst, Inventory Control based in Chicago, IL.

The Inventory Control Analyst, LHD is responsible for LHD inventory controlling functions across the network. Employee is responsible for: inventory movement auditing, flow management of the facility through finished goods declaration, co‑manufactured reception and reconciliation, losses, inventory accuracy and cycle counting; out of code product disposition. For continuous improvement, finding opportunities for improvement, which includes troubleshooting and determining root causes.

Key Responsibilities For This Position Include
  • Build a foundation of accurate inventory data across our supply chain network (using SAP) by ensuring all reports, losses, adjustments, reconciliations, and tasks (including idoc error resolution) are completed in timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with 3PL inventory team to ensure physical and WMS inventory records are reconciled with SAP balances, and resolve discrepancies to ensure high level of inventory accuracy across the network.
  • Cultivate relationships across all warehouse locations, including our co‑manufacturers and 3PLs as well as across the supply chain team.
  • Identify and fix inventory issues, seeking also to understand their root causes, working with Inventory Supervisor to develop long term solutions to recurring issues.
  • Be a subject matter expert in how finished goods and pallets move through our warehouse locations. They audit these movements and provide guidance for new products or processes.

  • Experience in ERP/WMS systems required, SAP experience preferred
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information, and develop alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations, and uses reasoning.
  • Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web‑based applications.
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex information.
  • Ability to develop effective methods for tracking and monitoring data or information.
  • Must possess the ability to think critically, analyze data, resource discrepancies with accuracy and have data integrity.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment.
