Job summary

Toray Composite Materials America, Inc. is seeking a Quality Systems Administrator to manage and maintain quality-related systems, assist with data gathering, and prepare reports for analysis to drive process improvements in accordance with established policies and procedures.

The role involves ensuring data accuracy, monitoring metrics, participating in internal audits, and coordinating training and qualification processes.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in quality assurance, business, management, engineering or related field and three to five years' experience in quality control or production in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Bachelor degree in quality assurance, business, management, engineering preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure certification reports are accurate and the material meets the applicable customer specifications prior to acceptance and certification.
  • Develop and collect data to track batch acceptance metrics using production management systems.
  • Monitor and collect data for analysis of statistical process control for test level changes.
  • Process Aircraft Grade and Sports Grade material for acceptance using production management systems.
  • Review customer specifications to ensure reports meet customer requirements prior to acceptance.
  • Track data and prepare charts and reports to support quality objectives.
  • Maintain monthly Metrics and KPI reporting and ensure department goals are met.
  • Administer and maintain the training system using LMS and manage competency evaluation processes.
  • Prepare monthly reports as requested.
  • Administer the employee qualification process as requested.

Administer and maintain systems that are used to support Quality initiatives. Assist with data gathering and preparation of reports. Prepare reports and data for analysis to promote process improvements in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Salary Range

$30.45 - $42.83

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ensure certification reports are accurate and the material meets the applicable customer specifications prior to acceptance and certification.
  • Develop and collect data to track batch acceptance metrics by using production management systems. Monitor and collect data for analysis of statistical process control for test level changes.
  • Process Aircraft Grade and Sports Grade material for acceptance using the production management system (UMAC and MES or latest MRP systems). Review customer specifications to ensure reports meets the customer requirements prior to acceptance.
  • Track data and prepare charts and reports to support quality objectives. Gather data to support the Material disposition board activities to process non- conforming products.
  • Perform daily monitoring and updating of the Monthly Metrics and KPI's to ensure tracking and charting department acceptance activity and expected goals.
  • Responsible for the retention, storage and disposal of Quality records to assure compliance with corporate, legal and customer requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits, as part of a team, to identify improvements needed in processes throughout the company and report results.
  • Administer and maintain the training system utilizing LMS, including managing the qualification and competency evaluation processes.
  • Prepare monthly reports as requested.
  • Administer the employee qualification process as requested.

Skills And Specifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess good knowledge of inventory control and logistics support techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Familiar with LEAN/Six Sigma concepts and principles is a plus.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to self-motivate and take initiative.
  • Knowledge of record keeping techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve at a highly skilled level.
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
  • Ability to work well with diverse personalities and cultures.
Education And Qualifications

Physical Demands

Job tasks are usually performed in an office environment. Position requires the ability to read, write, speak and understand English at a level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities. Ability to utilize/operate a computer, peripheral equipment and appropriate software. Ability to perform moderate to advanced mathematical computations. Ability to understand and apply work specifications in the completion of work tasks. Ability to hear, speak, use hands/fingers and the repetitive motions of hands/wrists are regular. Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Vision requires the adjustment and focus of sight. Ability to be physically mobile. Job tasks are usually performed in an indoor office environment. Occasional work in plant environment that includes the presence of epoxies, resins and other chemicals. Position occasionally requires work in excess of 40 hours in a week. Ability to use personal protective equipment as necessary. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
