California Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero is seeking an Analyst I - Trust Office in San Luis Obispo County. This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid telework and involves Medicare/SSA duties and trust-office accounting processes.

The Analyst I will support enrollment processing, benefit rule analysis, and cost-recovery reporting, while maintaining payroll-related records and compliance with state policies.

Job Description And Duties

The Analyst I will be directed by the Supervisor I in the Trust Office at the Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

• Hospital Liaison for Medicare Benefit Information.
• Process applications and other related documents for patient enrollment with Medicare Part B.
• Analyzes changes in Social Security Administration (SSA) benefit rules, regulations, and ensures compliance with departmental policies, and applicable federal, state and local laws.
• Social Security Insurance (SSI) Pre-Releases.
• Process and provide daily census reports, update Cost Recovery System (CRS) with new patient information.
• Enter New Admit patients onto the Taxpayer Identification Number list daily for Patient Payroll.
• Maintain patient vocation worker time and pay.
• Utilize the current accounting system and cost recovery services (CRS).
