Job description

About the Team

The Global Safety and Security team advances DoorDash through the protection of people, property, operations, brand, and reputation. We deliver value through agility, technology, and a people-first mindset—creating environments where employees and guests feel safe, welcome, and confident.

As DoorDash continues to evolve its workplace experience globally, our Corporate Safety and Security team is reimagining how physical security integrates seamlessly into every employee and guest interaction. The Associate, GOC Analyst will play a key role in designing and delivering this next-generation security experience.

About the Role

We are hiring a GOC Analyst to support DoorDash’s 24/7 Global Operations Center. Reporting to the GOC Manager, this role is responsible for real-time monitoring, incident triage, and operational response to protect DoorDash’s people, assets, and operations. As a frontline operator, you will serve as the first line of defense during emerging incidents—monitoring systems, assessing risk, executing SOPs, and escalating issues quickly and accurately. In addition to core operational response, you will apply foundational analytical skills to validate information, distinguish signal from noise, provide clear operational context that supports timely escalation and informed decision-making. You’ll operate in a high-tempo, follow-the-sun environment where clarity, discipline, and sound judgment are critical to maintaining operational resilience.

Responsibilities
  • Operate the GOC in Real Time: Monitor dashboards, alerts, inbound reports, and open-source signals to identify security, safety, and operational incidents as they emerge.
  • Execute Incident Response with Precision: Triage incidents, follow established SOPs, and support incident command activities through accurate documentation, coordination, and information validation.
  • Maintain Situational Awareness: Track ongoing incidents, relevant global events, and operational conditions to maintain a clear, real-time understanding of risk across shifts and regions.
  • Apply Foundational Analytical Tradecraft: Conduct initial fact-finding, source validation, and contextual analysis to distinguish signal from noise and support effective escalation.
  • Support Escalation and Decision-Making: Identify when issues exceed defined thresholds and elevate to the GOC Manager or Risk Intelligence team with clear, structured, and decision-ready information, without owning strategic risk interpretation.
  • Ensure Seamless Shift Handover: Produce concise shift reports and conduct disciplined handovers that capture incident status, risk context, and outstanding actions.
  • Contribute to Operational Excellence: Participate in drills, retrospectives, and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen GOC readiness, workflows, and analytical rigor.
  • Operate Calmly Under Pressure: Demonstrate professionalism, composure, and sound judgment during fast-moving or high-impact incidents.
What we are excited about you
  • Operations Center Experience: 3+ years in a GSOC, GOC, SOC, or comparable 24/7 operations or incident response environment.
  • Incident Management Fundamentals: Working knowledge of incident triage, escalation protocols, and operational playbooks.
  • Foundational Analytical Skills: Ability to assess information quality, identify trends or anomalies, and provide clear operational context during incidents.
  • Basic OSINT Familiarity: Comfort using open-source tools and publicly available information to validate events and support situational awareness (training provided as needed).
  • Strong Operational Judgment: Ability to assess risk, prioritize tasks, and act decisively under pressure.
  • Technical Fluency: Comfort working across monitoring dashboards, ticketing systems, communication platforms, and basic analytics tools.
  • Clear Communication Skills: Ability to document incidents clearly and communicate effectively with leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Discipline and Reliability: Proven ability to follow process, maintain attention to detail, and perform consistently across rotating shifts.
  • Growth Mindset: Willingness to learn new tools, analytical techniques, and operational best practices within a structured operations environment.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work rotating shifts as part of a 24/7 global operations model.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional or military experience.
