What we do

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team plays a critical role in supporting the company’s financial and strategic initiatives through data-driven insights and operational planning. As an integral member of the corporate FP&A team, the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will support the Trade Desk’s headcount and expense planning functions. The role focuses on providing financial reports to cross-functional leaders, managing budgets, and refining forecasting processes.

What you’ll do
  • Work with FP&A team to drive financial accountability by improving the budgeting and forecasting process; refine budget/forecast reporting and templates that will help leaders manage their respective divisions for continued profitable growth
  • Learn and expand the use of the new budgeting and reporting systems; suggest process improvements as the tool user base expands
  • Assist with department-level reporting to support management decisions to ensure execution of company goals and drive accountability
  • Improve capital forecasting and reporting/tracking
  • Perform value-added ad-hoc analyses that help drive decision making
  • Collaborate with Accounting to assist in close procedures, variance analysis, accruals, and other deep-dive analyses
  • Continuously take on additional responsibilities to improve processes and procedures
Who you are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Solid understanding of financial statements (including US GAAP) and forecasting concepts
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and proactive with a willingness to learn
  • Strong sense of ownership and proactivity
  • Experience with Workday, Oracle EPM, or other financial systems

In accordance with various US state laws, the range provided is the Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
