Job summary

IU Health is seeking a financial/operational analyst to support the system finance team with analysis, reporting, and pro formas. You will provide analytical and consultative support to department and service line management, interpreting data across financial, operational, clinical, and economic measures to guide senior leadership decisions.

The role involves developing forecasts, analyzing short-to-long-term positions, and offering technical support on complex analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of financial or operational analysis experience; healthcare experience preferred.
• Analytical experience with complex data sets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong Excel experience required.
• Relational databases and financial/operational modeling experience is a plus.

Overview

Coordinates and supports the system financial team in providing actionable information (including analysis, reporting, pro formas) to support operational and strategic decision making. Provides analytical and consultative support to departmental and service line management and key stakeholders. Analyzes diverse sets of data including financial, operational, clinical and economic, to support strategic and operational decisions. Interprets financial or other information on costs, prices, expenses, revenues and various clinical and operational measures to make recommendations to senior management. Develops analysis of economic indicators in order to prepare forecasts and analyze the organization's short, medium, and long term position. Provides technical support on complex analysis and may informally lead team members.

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Degree in Finance or related field a plus.
• Requires 3+ years of relevant financial or operational analysis experience; at least 2 years of experience in healthcare industry preferred.
• Requires analytical experience working with complex data sets.
• Requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products/applications; strong Microsoft Excel experience required; relational database and financial or operational modeling experience a plus.
