Just Salad is seeking an Analyst of Finance & BI to join our Finance team. In this high-visibility role, you will go beyond traditional reporting to drive financial planning, analytics, and data infrastructure across a rapidly expanding restaurant network.

The ideal candidate bridges rigorous financial modeling with hands-on BI deployment, leveraging AI tools daily to accelerate forecasting, automate workflows, and deliver strategic insights to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• BS in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, or related field.
• 1-2 years of FP&A, consulting, data science, investment banking, investment management, or research.
• Strong proficiency with AI tools for analytics and automation.
• Advanced Excel, working knowledge of SQL and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake or similar).
• Experience in restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit retail is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage store-level financial tracking, same-store sales, and core P&L modeling.
• Build financial models for store growth, pricing, marketing capital allocation, and ad-hoc projects.
• Prepare executive reporting packages, variance analyses, and investor presentations for CFO/Board.
• Lead ad hoc modeling, benchmarking, and scenario analyses to support operational decisions.
• Establish and monitor cross-functional KPIs across departments and provide actionable insights.

Job Summary:

Just Salad is seeking an Analyst of Finance & Business Intelligence (BI) to join our Finance team. In this high-visibility role, you will go beyond traditional reporting to drive financial planning, analytics, and data infrastructure across a rapidly expanding restaurant network.

The ideal candidate bridges rigorous financial modeling with hands-on BI deployment. You will leverage cutting-edge AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) daily to accelerate forecasting, automate workflows, and deliver strategic insights to executive leadership. In line with Just Salad’s mission to make everyday health and sustainability possible, you will also support initiatives to reduce Just Salad’s environmental footprint.

You will serve as a strategic partner to senior executives (including CEO, CFO), translating complex data into clear insights and actionable business strategies.

This position requires permanent U.S. work authorization. We are unable to sponsor or consider applicants on temporary visas, including F-1/OPT, J-1, or H-1B.

This position is onsite in our NYC office.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Manage store-level financial tracking, same-store sales performance, and core P&L modeling.
• Build financial models for new store growth, menu pricing, marketing capital allocation, and ad-hoc strategic projects.
• Prepare executive reporting packages, variance analyses, and investor presentations for the CFO and Board.
• Lead ad hoc modeling, competitive benchmarking, and scenario analysis to support key operational decisions.
• Establish and monitor cross-functional KPIs across operations, marketing, finance, and supply chain.
• Deliver data-driven, actionable recommendations to leadership - bringing a strong point of view to every analysis.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

• Deploy and govern executive BI dashboards, ensuring clean, analysis-ready datasets for department leaders.
• Act as internal SME on reporting infrastructure, partnering with Tech and vendor teams to bridge data gaps.
• Utilize modern AI platforms to automate reporting workflows and accelerate insight generation.
• Oversee menu cost tracking and pricing analysis in collaboration with Supply Chain and Culinary.

Digital Analytics

• Analyze digital channel performance across app, web, and third-party delivery platforms (traffic, conversion, mix).
• Drive loyalty program analytics, evaluating engagement, redemption patterns, offer effectiveness, and customer LTV.
• Build dashboards tracking guest frequency, customer churn, cohort segmentation, and campaign ROI.
• Partner with Marketing to model business cases for menu updates, digital initiatives, and personalization engines.
• Evaluate third-party delivery economics (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Sharebite) and catering fee structures.
• Translate digital metrics into strategic investment and optimization recommendations for Marketing leadership.

Qualifications

• BS in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, or related field; 1-2 years of experience in FP&A, consulting, data science, investment banking, investment management, or research.
• Strong proficiency with modern AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) for analytics and workflow automation.
• Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of SQL and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake or similar).
• Proven track record of managing competing priorities and delivering under tight timelines.
• Comfortable navigating raw, complex, and unstructured data across multiple platforms.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset.
• Experience in restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit retail is a plus.
