Job summary

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an Analyst, EHS to support Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability activities. You will help ensure the site operates safely and remains compliant with EHS&S standards, assist in implementing programs, conducting audits, and driving initiatives that promote a safe work environment.

This onsite role offers weekday hours, cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Production and Security, and opportunities to lead documentation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS experience.
• Ability to read and interpret CFRs and environmental permits.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend control measures or corrective actions for EHS and sustainability concerns.
• Partner with business units on EHS initiatives and compliance with Catalent Global EHS Management Systems.
• Assist in compliance with site safety and environmental programs (air, water, wastewater, waste, sustainability).
• Collaborate with multiple departments to analyze technical issues related to EHS initiatives.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the Emergency Response Program in coordination with site Security and EMS Committee.
• Prepare SOPs and EHS programs for compliance.
• Maintain EHS documentation and records.
• Conduct audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and investigations with closure follow-up.
• Stay current on OSHA, EPA, NFPA, RCRA, ANSI, FDA, and GMP requirements.

About Site

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for an Analyst, EHS to join our team and support the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Department. In this role, you will help ensure the site operates efficiently and maintains compliance with EHS&S standards. You will assist in implementing programs, conducting audits, and supporting initiatives that promote safety and sustainability. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment for all employees.

Shift: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Location: Kansas City, MO 100% Onsite

The Role

• Identify, assess, and recommend control measures or corrective actions for environmental, health, safety, and sustainability concerns.


• Partner with business units on EHS initiatives, programs, and compliance with Catalent Global EHS Management Systems, including program leadership and progress tracking.


• Assist in compliance with site safety and environmental programs, including air, water, wastewater, waste, and sustainability initiatives.


• Collaborate with Technical Services, Quality Control, Production, Validation, Equipment Services, Finance, and Quality Assurance to analyze technical issues related to EHS initiatives.


• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the Emergency Response Program in coordination with site Security and the Emergency Management Committee.


• Support production and engineering in preparing Standard Operating Procedures and EHS programs for compliance.


• Maintain files and documentation records related to EHS compliance activities.


• Conduct audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and investigations of violations; provide recommendations and support closure of findings.


• Stay current on local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, NFPA, RCRA, ANSI, FDA, and GMP requirements.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Candidate Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Safety, or a related field.


• Minimum of 5 years of related EHS experience.


• Ability to complete projects on time with minimal supervision and strong interpersonal and leadership skills.


• Ability to read and interpret technical publications such as the Code of Federal Regulations and environmental permits.


• Working knowledge of ISO 14,001 and ISO 45,001 standards.

Preferred Skills & Background

• Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access.
