Job summary

Cemex US in Houston, TX is seeking a procurement transformation specialist to improve processes and lead an enterprise e-sourcing tool rollout nationwide. You will work with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier relationships.

The role requires 5+ years in project management with strong metrics, 3+ years in procurement, and a degree in Engineering, Finance, or related fields; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in procurement processes
• Degree in Engineering, Finance, Civil Engineering, Systems or Administration
• Master’s degree desirable
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SAP ERP

Responsibilities

• Strategically enhance procurement processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve supplier relationships.
• Lead the implementation of a cutting-edge e-sourcing tool across all organizational levels within the country, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and develop solutions to enhance procurement operations.
• Conduct training sessions for procurement staff on the utilization of the e-sourcing tool to maximize its benefits.
• Monitor and report on the e-sourcing tool’s performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to procurement processes and the e-sourcing tool to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
• Champion change management initiatives related to the adoption of the e-sourcing tool, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the procurement function.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish
• At least 5 years of experience of project management in an environment with strong operational metrics
• At least 3 years of experience of Procurement processes
• Academic Background: Graduated degree in Engineering, Finance, Civil Engineering, Systems or Administration.
• Master's degree is desirable.
• PC Programs such as Word, Power Point, Excel and ERP SAP.
