Job summary

Nearwater Capital, based in New York, seeks an Analyst to support deal execution across ABS, CLO, CMBS and RMBS on the Risk Retention Origination desk. You will work with originators and associates on financial modeling, market analysis, and documentation for live deals, building the foundation for a career in structured finance.

This role provides hands-on exposure to live securitizations, mentorship from senior team members on a small desk, and a clear growth path as the firm expands its Risk

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in structured finance or securitized products.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related quantitative field.
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Nearwater's Risk Retention Financing Origination team is expanding, and we're looking for an Analyst to support deal execution across ABS, CLO, CMBS, and RMBS transactions. You will work closely with originators and associates on financial modeling, market analysis, and documentation for live deals, building the foundation for a career in structured finance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support the Origination team in executing financing transactions by reviewing deal offering documents and legal documentation, and coordinating operational settlement
• Build cash flow models of financing terms and structure for client review
• Prepare marketing materials and presentations for client meetings with global investment and PE firms, managers, and sponsors
• Research prospective clients and maintain an up-to-date pipeline database
• Monitor upcoming securitization market activity and relevant market trends
• Participate in client dialogue to support the origination and client coverage process

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

• 0–2 years of experience, or a strong internship background, in structured finance or securitized products
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication

Preferred

• Exposure to ABS, CLO, CMBS, or RMBS asset classes
• Coursework or internship experience in structured finance
• Proficiency with financial databases such as Bloomberg or Intex
