Position Overview

Invenergy’s Compliance team develops, maintains, and communicates company governance, delivers targeted training and awareness programs, and provides ongoing guidance to ensure Invenergy operates with integrity and conducts business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The team identifies and manages compliance risks through due diligence, risk assessments, monitoring, testing, and internal controls in key areas including political compliance, anti-corruption and FCPA compliance, data privacy and protection, third-party risk management, and other regulatory and governance obligations. Invenergy is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to provide broad programmatic, analytical, and project support across the Compliance team. This role will assist Compliance workstream leads with their initiatives, recurring activities, and additional priorities; help maintain organized and reliable processes; and collaborate with team members and business stakeholders to support an effective compliance program. This role will report to Invenergy’s Director of Compliance in Chicago, IL. Invenergy follows a hybrid schedule, working in office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Compliance leads with program activities, including intake, review, research, monitoring, documentation, tracking, reporting, and recordkeeping.
  • Respond to routine inquiries and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to collect information, advance open items, and communicate compliance requirements clearly to varied audiences.
  • Support Compliance leads with work stream project management execution, including the coordination of meetings, action items, timelines, and documentation for initiatives.
  • Manage multiple assignments and provide timely, organized follow-through on recurring and ad hoc work.
  • Provide flexible assistance across Compliance as business, legal, regulatory, compliance, and team priorities evolve.
  • Support Compliance Lead with compliance operations such as policy management, compliance training and communication administration.
  • Support with risk assessments, due diligence, control reviews, testing, monitoring, and related documentation.
  • Assist with political compliance activities, including processing donation and contribution requests, coordinating reviews and approvals, and maintaining required documentation and records.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze information used to identify, evaluate, track, and report compliance risks.
  • Support routine compliance reviews, research, monitoring, and other program activities.
  • Compile and analyze information to prepare metrics, summaries, reports, and management updates.
  • Help identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and use approved tools and technology more effectively.
  • Help coordinate mitigation activities, maintain risk and action-item follow ups with stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, risk, governance, business operations, or a related field.
  • Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or other approved tools to analyze data, and prepare management-ready reporting.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, research, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business stakeholders to gather and validate information, support remediation, evaluate process improvements, and communicate practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for varied audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay $75,000.00 - $87,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 15% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
